HKThe famous Hanning & Kahl GmbH, seated at Oerlinghausen, North Germany, has been supplying electric railway switch drive gears and control cabinets to Budapest since 1993, as decisive players in the road and electric railway technology sector. In addition to road and railway applications, they offer more and more solutions for metro operations, industrial railways and sidelines, too.
Our company has been the exclusive representative of this market leading company in Hungary, including not only commercial activities, but the repair works of railway switch gear mechanisms and brake equipment. In 2014 we started the renovation of the mechanic brake systems of Combino trams.
The results of the cooperation of Hanning & Kahl GmbH and Metal 99 Ltd. can also be seen in the traffic development of Budapest:

▪   19 switch gears and control cabinets were installed during the renovation works of tram lines 1 and 3, during the renovation of Széll Kálmán Square, as well as during the construction of the new conjoining tram lines of Buda
▪   the first integrated signalling device was introduced in Hungary that can also detect the movement of vehicles
▪   during the renovation works of Széll Kálmán Square, a switch-operating mechanism and occupation sensor sub-system were installed, in addition to two switch gears
▪   a switch-operating mechanism and a switch gear are operating in Deák Ferenc Square
